Kelly, 28, noticed a small mole on her thigh and saw her GP who confirmed the worst...

"I still can't believe I have been diagnosed with skin cancer.  This wasn't supposed to happen to me, I'm young.  The worst is that I probably did this to myself.  I could have prevented this distress and fright, if only I'd have protected myself and not worshipped the sun just to 'look good'. 

My boyfriend loved it when I had a tan- I did too.  I felt and looked healthier and sexier.  Little did I know I was risking my life.  Or maybe I did know that there was a chance I could contract skin cancer, but I just chose to ignore the warnings about the sun.  So stupid... I regret it every day..."
