|
| May 2007 saw the launch of the British Skin Foundation skin cancer appeal. Over the coming months we’ll be organising a series of events in aid of the appeal with all proceeds going directly towards skin cancer research. |
|
We’ll be updating this page regularly to keep you informed of all the latest appeal news including fundraising stories from our supporters, media coverage and ways in which you can help the BSF in its fight against skin cancer. Stars and streakers help spread our sun safety message!

Stars of popular TV soap 'Hollyoaks' struck a pose in London's Leicester Square, helping to spread word of the BSF Skin Cancer Appeal and our 'better to fake it' message.
TV favourites Kevin Sacre (who plays Jake Dean), Roxanne McKee (Louise Summers) and Claire Cooper (Jacqui McQueen) demonstrated a new self-tan spray and showed just how great a sunless tan can look.
The event was also organised to raise money for our BSF Skin Cancer Appeal, with donations in return for cans of self-tan sprays being donated to the fund.
What a great way to combine staying out of the sun with raising money for our research!

A 'cheeky' way to get behind the Skin Cancer Appeal...
Traffic stopped and crowds gathered as two 'naked' people took to the streets of Central London and Manchester, handing out the British Association of Dermatologists' and BSF's sun awareness and Skin Cancer Appeal information.
It wasn't long before film crews joined the throng, and Sky News broadcast footage of the event on their daytime bulletin. |
